Need help from Hagus mirror *sedan* owners!

Hi everyone...I am still needing help to convince my bodyshop to fit the OEM motors in my '01 330i sedan Hagus mirrors. They said it is impossible/too hard to do. Has anyone with a sedan been able to do it and retain the mirror memory presets AFTER the motor swap was done?? Coupes apparently have it much easier and the swap is really simply. Darn sedans! Thank you so much!

actually, i've tried it on my coupe and wasn't successful. i was able to swap the motors out but couldn't stick the oem motor to fit into the hagus in the position it was in the oem housing. so mirror was slightly off and the tilt down function became a tilt "some other direction" function. in the end, i just kept the hagus motors in the hagus housing and lost my tilt down function.

Well, I don't mind if I lose the "tilt-down" feature because I hate it anyways! I'm more wanting to get the mirror memory presets back...It is such a pain after I keep moving my seat around! hehe..

I have the OEM motors inside the Hagus housing. The strange thing is that once you get them in, the motors are all upside-down so my driver's side mirror moves up when I adjust it inside the cabin and down when I move the joystick up and same thing for left and right. The passenger side is completely whacked. Left is up, down is right, up is right, down is left. This is because the motors is not exactly upside down but upside-down at a 45 degree angle and it's not resting on the Hagus mounting points. I had to fabricate a mounting point in between the mounting points on the Hagus housing in order for the OEM motor on the passenger side to fit. I do get full power options as well as memory options but I've lost the tilt-down in reverse.

KromeX, thanks for the info...You wouldn't by any chance have anymore writeup/DIY on exactly what you did? Just thinking I could take that to the bodyshop and have them work off of it. Do you think it is possible to get the motor totally upside down, instead of the 45 degree angle, or is it just not possible?
Thanks...

Sorry, I don't have a write up. You can't get the motor completely upside down because you wouldn't be able to clip the mirror back onto the motor and have the mirror fit inside the housing. It's hard to explain but you'll get it if you try.

Thats exactly whan happened to mine (after motor swapping). The motors are all up-side down. Basically all in wrong directions. Anyway to solve this problem???

Yea, not sure...I don't care if up=down and down=up with the switches, just as long as the mirror goes back to my memory presets! hehehe Thats what I can't stand!

Those in your Sig--they're Hagus, no? Or did you go and get the ACS ones?

Those are the Hagus and yes, I still have them. Still debating on going for the ACS ones if my bodyshop can't retrofit my OEM motors into the Hagus mirrors!
