Updated the Cable p/n

Here is a pic of the thing installed. Just drill out the whole until you can fit the piece in snuggly dont over drill like I did on the passengers side...

Question How are you going to wire the lights?

I'm interested in installing the city lights, but not sure where to tap in for power.

Please keep us updated.

Thanks.

I have the slots in my headlamps for the lights but am curious to whether that means that they are prewired for city lights? I think that they are a cool addition to the xenon's... Anyone know how to get them to work

JAJJA I was like OFF TOPIC???

Yea I gotta get 7.3 bad just that I connect at 56k, so have to do it from work, but no time!

Hey RyanDe680 can you take pics and post them so we know what your talkin about?? That would be helpful.

Initially what I plan on doing is hooking them up to the corners. I know its cheesy but its the fastest way I can get em up and running.

Well, my headlamp unit came on the car with the hole for the euro light, but there is no light in there. It looks just like your 4th picture does in this thread, minus the actual light itself.

I need to buy a digital camara...

Well I think youre refering to the hole on the chrome reflective part of the headlight unit. All cars have this.

What the US cars dont have is the respective hole pre-drilled on the rear (the black plastic in my 6th picture I believe). You'll have to drill that out being careful not to make the hole to big or not to leave plastic dust in the actual headlight after drilling.

On my 2001 330i, there are plugs located where the city lights should fit. The housing components are on order and I am working on a custom panel for the light switch for the ash tray. Wish me luck.

what are city lights?

I always hear people talk about them but I have no idea what they are. Are they the daytime driving lights?

I'm in the same boat here. I don't know what they are or do. Could someone explain what city lights are?

Well finally finished this project. Wired them up to the corner lights. Used red bulbs So this is how they work

1. Will go on with parking lights.

2. Will blink with corner lights (I know I know)

3. Will stay on with single corner lights when leaving the car parked. (in other words when taking key out and moving the steering wheel stalk to one of the blink positions)

Thats it..... finally done with it! So you can see this has not been a big priority since its been 2 mths!!
