Alpine NAV-200

I have now decided not to go with the BMW aftermarket CD based system. I am going to purchase the Alpine NAV-200 and the place where I am going to purchase it from said they would install a customer in-dash kit for me. The only problem that I now see is that they Nav screen comes with a small speaker built in. When i'm playing my music (which I like to play loud) I won't be able to hear the nav system. The quesiton that I would liked answered is there a way to mute the HK system so that I can hear the Nav everytime it wants me to do something different? What do you guys think?
