Best Radar Detector

Im making the trip from CT to Ocean City, MD in a few weeks.....since we all know its impossible to drive less than 80 mph on the highway with our cars.....ive decided I need a radar detector...........any recommendations on a decent one???.....im not looking to spend $1000.00 on one that detects a cop who may be on the road tomorrow....something economical...but good?

Thanks guys/gals.

Valentine 1

You gotta go for the Valentine One, nothing else even comes close.

Also, I was just driving through Maryland last week and I saw a sign that said radar detectors are illegal there. So don't be doing something stupid and get caught wtih a radar detector in Maryland.

Enjoy your trip

Yup Valentine V1, run a search on it if you want stories.

Others also recommend the Passport 8500.

Valentine One... by far.. may seem like a steep investment, but it lasts and it can be updated.... Works like a charm!!

k40 fully loaded runs $1399, or escort sr1 for $899.

V1, there is no substitute!

Radar detectors are not illegal in Maryland. But, VA and DC almost surround MD on the west and south, and you may have crossed the line. V1 can't be picked up, just don't let them ride up on you and see it.

Valentine One is the best and only choice. The extra $100 is well worth it.

well my freinds bro had an m5 n he jus said it was awesome they would jus fly down the LIE without anyproblems doin 100 easily the whole time (LIE for non-new yorkers is Long island expressway)

i would have gone that path wit the loot ive spent on this n all the money i hafta spend in court on tickets...but not sure way to avoid tickets there always other methodz to get u the speedin tickets than laser n radar....id say go wit other mods since the radar is a false sense of security...learned the hardway....93 in a 55 with a juniors license late at night
