Depends on how many mm you want to push your wheels out. It also depends on what you are currently running. But if you push it out after measuring it correctly, you shouldn't rub. Let us know how much you want to push your wheels out.

I'm thinking about picking up a set of spacers too, but...
First I have to determine the offset's of the sport package type 68 wheels. My dealer told me et46 up front and et42 in the back, but he said it was confusing to him and these may not be right. If I got this information for sure, I would be able to determine how much of a spacer I could add in. Anyone know for sure the offsets?
Thinking about maybe 7mm all around, that should be on the safe side with my Cup Kit. |

I might be wrong here but arent spacers bad for your car. By going to larger wheels and tires you are allready putting more stress on your car and now you want to put even more by shortening the length of your lugs.........correct me if Im wrong

You might be able to put 5mm rear only on the sedan with 18x8.5. The sedan has a rear fender size not much bigger compared to the front so there isn't much room to push it out. To be safe, just measure it. In my opinion, 5mm would be the max. "I might be wrong here but arent spacers bad for your car. By going to larger wheels and tires you are allready putting more stress on your car and now you want to put even more by shortening the length of your lugs.........correct me if Im wrong" When you purchase spacers, you have to purchase longer lug bolts which accomodate for the extension size. Thus for a 5mm spacer, you have to buy a lug bolt that is 5mm longer than the stock 27mm shank. Also, spacers are not bad. If you read the H&R website about their Trak spacers, they explain what spacers do. They are supposed to help with performance, although that is very very minimal. The old adage "wider is better" holds because it would help in cornering abilities. But how much difference is 5mm on each side gonna make? Probably almost none. It is mostly for looks- to full up the fender gap left by the wheels.

I forgot to mention...
I don't have my CH's anymore, sold them. And I was rubbing a little as they were, no way I could have done another 5mm anywhere!
Back to type 68's baby! |

you get longer lugs with the spacers, so you are not shortening them...

If you have 18x8.5 BBS CHs on a sedan, you won't need any spacers to push your wheels out further. You should be more worried about rubbing (if dropped).
