Those are the 3M Film. You might able to get those at Home Depot.

I dont think so. It looks like the stuff you wrap around remote control airplanes. almost like a paper thin sheet metal. I wouldnt think it would last............

Trust me, they are. I saw them doing those stuff in Japan. Is dirt cheap. Is around USD$25 a sheet.

And the color code for those 3M Film is 8825-120

Use the hair dryer. it will sticks to the curve. Just gently heat it up, don't wanna burn it.

I wonder how wide and long a sheet one of those is. Hmmm, I'm stopping by Lowes/Home Depot to get some things for my father tomorrow. I guess I'll have to look into these. Any ideas which section/category these will listed under @ Home Depot/Lowes?

Unless it came in a contrasting color or texture that was unusually wonderful, I can't imagine it would be worth anyone's time to screw around with that. Just paint the damn things! Infinite color choices and it's not that expensive.
