First answer this question and you'll have your answer:

Do you own a fake BMW?

But seriously, if you're driving a $40,000 car, why would you put cheap pieces of crap all over it???
If it looks very close to the real one - and you think the quality isn't that bad - then go ahead and save the money. Brand name ody kits are so ridiculously overpriced. And for what, pieces of plastic. I just look at my M3 lip spoiler or ACS roof spoiler and shake my head.

Get a real one. I have heard bad things about the MVR kit.

Try to buck up and get the rear lit. It is very common for knock-offs to have severe fitment issues. Your car will look like crap if the body panels are not fitting correctly.

Three body shops in the area refused to install the MVR kit on my boys 330ci.... The fitment is crap, and the fact that its made of fiberglass is more crap.... but if you like crappy parts, then go for the fake one.... the fitment on the real one sucks, and its fiber glass, so then u might as well get the fake one

The quality on the knock can't be any worse than MVR's quality

Very bad, I think Jim paid the same amount as the he paid for the kit itself JUST to have it fitted right.

the fake one must be more difficult to install....

but i heard the real MVR has bad quality also....
so either one is of bad quality?

My question: How much $$$ (max amount) are you willing to shell out?

Actually, you have a 3rd alternative:

1. Get the genuine MVR
2. Get the replica MVR
3. Do nothing (don't forget this option)
