Thinking about painting window trim black....opinion?

Well, I am wanting to get the black shadow window trim to replace my chrome trim. It seems kind of overpriced. I was wondering what everyone thought about painting your chrome trim black? How do you think it would look and how would it hold up? Any opinions on what to use and the best way to do it?

Thanks!,
-Brandon

Anyone?

If I did it. I guess I would sand it down first, then use many coats of paint and then clear coat. How does that sound?

Thanks,
-Brandon

I was going to do this also, but the bottom quarter piece on your rear window is hard to take out without bending it which i did and unless you want to leave them on and put tape to cover your paint I would just get the real thing. IMO it is overpriced but it looks damn good!

It would be easier to switch trims with someone who has a 323/325...very easy to swap.

I think the black trim on the 323/325 is on the sedans only. Do the 323/325 coupes have black trim?

Thanks,
-Brandon

it's chrome on the coupes 323/328, 325/330 in NA

however, here in Canada u can order the M sports package (since 02'), in which they have the black trim, and m-steering wheel..etc etc
the look towards the M3 look, basically..
