Hey guys where does the washer go? On the bolt side, nut side, on the inside or outside?

I just dremeled the pin out= the battery box is lifted up.

Now I'm having trouble fitting the endplates on. One of the 3 holes doesn't go all the way down. How did you guys do it? Did you line up all three holes first and then press down? Or did you do it one hole at a time?

Thanks.

^^ I ended up lining them all up at the same time. I had to push like a mofo to get them things on, but they're on. They definitely did not slide right on, I had to use a good amount of elbow grease.

Hey guys, I dunno why 2 ppl have had difficulty with the bases. On our test vehices they slid right on. Maybe we need to drill the holes slightly bigger? In any event, please let us know if you're experiencing difficulty installing.

^^ I think doing that would help a lot. If the holes were only a touch bigger, it would have made life a lot easier, on the flip side, I do like the fact that the bases make a really tight fit once they're in.

I had trouble putting on the passenger side brace. Actually had to use a small hammer and flat head screw driver to "knock" them into alignment. I broke off one of the mounting posts, the inner one, which sucked. I ordered a new one from circle bmw for 25.00 and will put it on whenever my suspension needs changing. Right now it doesn't seem to effect steering/suspension at all. Oh well.

I actually had to bore out the holes to make them a bit bigger. Needed to do this to 2 holes on each end as the base would not slide on at all. Not even w/ a bit of elbow grease

Each of the holes was off by a couple of mm or so. My car has been around the block many many times so, it's probably just a shifting/time issue.

Will try to post some pics tomorrow. Otherwise, a great looking product.

Interesting. Seems like some people are having this fitment issue. I will have the manufacturer drill the holes larger and double check the hole locations for future bars. In the meantime, if anyone wants their bases drilled out, PM or email me and we will have this done ASAP.

Regards,

-Dan
