What's the difference between Sylvania and Osram?

I was just wondering, since I bought a pair of Sylvania Silverstars for my fogs today. I noticed Osram makes a Silverstar bulb also. Is Osram just another name for Sylvania or is it something totally different?

Osram Sylvania is the name of the company in the US. Its parent company located in Germany is just called Osram. In otherwords, its the same bulb, the name depends on which country you are buying them from.
