***Racing Dynamics exhaust installed!***

I finally got an aftermarket system put on my car today. I made a trip to RDSport and got the twin 90mm tip muffler and I am very happy with how it sounds. My stock 325 sounds decent but nowhere near as deep as I wanted so this was a good fix. It is very deep and rich in tone but not intrusive at all. I drove on the freeway home and was just averaging around 70mph and I could hardly tell the exhaust was there. On normal light to light driving conditions, I can totally tell the exhaust is there (mostly between 2.5k -3.5k RPMs). If you're looking for a loud exhaust, this probably isn't going to do it for you unless you take out a resonator or two, but if you just want a mellow deep tone, this is perfect, not to mention it looks great. Overall, I am thoroughly happy with my purchase.

Pics will come

as soon as I wash the car and have the exhaust adjusted in some days. I'm loving it. As for price, it is listed at $940 but you can get it for less than that and RD did install it for me. Federico actually took some of his time to overlook the install process with the technicians. I was impressed with their service. Now if I could only get off work so I can do some driving.

I am afraid I do not have the right equipment for that recording stuff unless someone wants to do it for me, however, you are local in OC so if you really would like to hear it, I will gladly meet up with you somewhere and we can take it for a drive.

What do you mean with a inox muffler? Those tips are exactly what I have and they are staggered too. The one I got is slightly different though that the undercarriage picture you posted. Mine has dual inlets and dual 90mm tips and the whole entire thing is stainless steel now. The 323/328 ones that they have made used to be the black coated.

o i c

and the whole entire thing is stainless steel now

)))

i misunderstood your posting so i edited mine here now

thats what i mean : i asked carplan and he said the quote was for a black coated exhaust with stainless steel pipes

but i wonder if he orderes it for me if i would not get a stainless steel one because the exhaust are different this year.

But i have a 4 cylinder so that could be that i get the old ones because they dont have one yet in full stainless steel one for my model 316

Unless they re-did the 323-328 exhaust, I think they would still be black with stainless tips and pipes. You should call RDSport and ask them. Then just make sure when you order it, they look at it and tell you what it looks like physically. Good luck with that.

Congrats,

I have the older Racing Dynamics exhaust. I agree it is very quite but deeper. I take it that you also have both resonators on still. I was thinking about getting the 2nd removed just to change things up a bit. Has anyone heard RD with one or both resonators removed?

For a little info my is the black coated one.

Ya I just checked their website and they made a newer verion for both the M52 and M54 which is all stainless. I think they stagger all tips now but the 90mm size is constant. Federico said that RD is in the process of making bypass pipes to get rid of the second resonator. That might become an option for me if I wish for a louder note. I am curious to know how it will sound too.
