URGENT!!! how to check transmission fluid level?

URGENT! PLEASE HELP
Does anybody know how to check the transmission fluid level?
i have a 2000 328ci.

It's a sealed transmission. So the only way to check it is to jack up the car, take off the filler plug and sticker a finger inside. You should be able to fill fluid when you stick one finger inside.

this is stupid... i think I am leaking fluid, and the only way to check it, is to get it jacked up and and unscrewed?
why so freaking difficult.

how do i find this plug? and how would i know if i am low, if I am using my finger?

so ur saying that u cannnot just add transmission fluid? u hav to pretty much open everything up just to add trans-fluid?

NO, there is one filler and one drain plug for the tranny.

why do you think you are leaking fluid..form the factory it is selaed with locktite and if you havevent chnged it it should not leak...did you bottom out and break opne the tranny...if not i doubt you are leaking fluid..you got to jack up the car and feel it

i did hit it a while ago... but my problems started even before that.

i did put it up on the lift, and checked it out... i don't see anything leaking but my garage floor has podle and a trial. i don't even see anything leaking..
I even put it into drive and put it up. nothing...

I am sure there is a sensor in the tranny. do you think a light will go on if the level is too low?

my power steering fluid leaks from around the cap, guess I need a new seal ,but is it possibly power steering fluid?
Thant seems more likely,b ut who knows
