atp turbos for sale already?

has atp began selling their kits yet or is this kid blowing smoke?

LOL I just checked it out... a 330 has a compression ratio of 10.2 and a 323 has a comp ratio of 10.5......sooo let me get this straight. Their test car runs @ 9.5 PSI on RACE FUEL with a lower compression ratio, and then they tell you to run 11PSI on a HIGHER compression ratio motor lol....That would be the equivalent of them saying go blow up your engine.....so I call BS.

"Boost was set to about 9.5psi. Fuel was a mix of 4 gallons of 110 and about 2 gallons of 91 left in the tank so making octane equal to 103.6. I'm starting to see the limits of the stock fuel system. Fuel pump is being maxed out at this level. I'm surprised the stock fuel pump can handle this much power. I'm sure the pump is going to start getting tired soon. Towards the end of the run, A/F starts going lean to 13.2."

Notice he says the fuel pump is starting to max out at 9.5 PSI.....there is no way in hell they'd tell you to run it at 11PSI.
I hate BS posts like this that get people excited so you can feel like an E-pimp....

I got so excited when I first heard about this kit.
After doing some research, i would put it on my car if you paid me.
So dissapointed. Maybe by some miracle they'll figure out the OBDII.

April is my time for ordering forced induction. Right now ASA has 1st place. Maybe by then we'll have some PD SC's or turbo options for our E46's, and maybe all my tech stocks will revert to 1999 values

What did you find out thats so bad??? I know they don't have a great rep with some VW guys, but thats about it....As for the ASA, it doesn't have software either LOL....I actually think ATP is knows what its doing since Kromex had the prototype kit on his car for god knows how long....I think that the numbers they produced on the dyno would never have happened without descent software...

rumor has it that another reputable company is building a turbo kit for e46 too..

C'mon now... that's just mean... Can you at least give us wanna be FI's (or in some of our cases, soon to be FI guys) a time frame? I'd really hate to invest so much money in something then have something else better come out in a few weeks or so...

Nothing I can say with any real confidence, just did a ton of searching and reading on other forums, talked with local shops (Strictly and RPM). Gotta take all that with a grain of salt. That plus the fact that it's not installed on any other e46's that I know of and the release date is vague and keeps getting pushed.

Reason I was listing ASA as my 1st choice is because of the happy customer base. As soon as rennsport releases the ecu program to go with the ASA, I imagine there will be even happier ASA ppl.

All else being equal, (happy customers, proven ECU programming, kit actually for sale...), ATP would be already on my car.

Since I've been told that I can't do the mod 'till April, all may change.

Just got off the phone with ATP... they say it could take up to a year...

Ouch. Guess the only 2 paths worth waiting for are a twin-screw, or ASA/Rennsport with ECU software. Bet Rennsport comes out with the ECU software before a twin-screw kit is available.

Sucks that ATP can't get their stuff together to ship a good turbo product for us.
