ASA SK1 with ECU software

Anybody have any updates as to when Rennsport will have ECU software for their ASA SC kits?
I think that's all I'm waiting for before I place an order. Waiting on an e-mail from Sam asking the same question.

Thinking of ordering it with both the 6.5psi and 8psi pulley's. Try the 6.5 first of course Figure i may need bigger injectors for 8psi, and the ECU software of course.

I've pretty much made up my mind to go forced induction and keep my 330 for a few more years. See what becomes of the new M5's and E90's in 2-3 years.
Now to find the right FI application for my car, and ASA is in the lead if they'd only come out with their own ECU software

ASA is on the top of my list as well...But I really wish that ATP would get their kit out already...

I've heard that ATP is still a year away
whereas, i think Rennsport will actually come out with ECU software fairly soon. Just my hunch.

From Samir:
I'm sorry I don't have a definite date for you. We had planned on this being finished by end of the month, but due to longer than expected construction efforts with our new place, we have not been able to devote enough time to finish this up. I don't want to give out anymore ETAs since I cannot say for sure when the ECU project will be complete.

As of now, all the SK1 kits have performed very well without the software.

Lets face it guys, the ASA kit doesnt need the software to work. We all know what the numbers are and we can clearly see that the ASA kit, w/o injectors or software, still out performes any of the kits on the market today.

I had the ASA kit on my car since last summer without any issues what so ever.

If you want reliablity and performance go with ASA and dont worry about the software, you dont need it.

The reason I got the Dinan software was not for power obviously..
1- Aggressive throttle map
2- Ingreased resline
3- No speed govenor
If I go back to stock, I look all those, whereas AA developed spoftware for their kit, there blower just stinks IMHO.

I have no doubt that ASA from Rennsport will work fine with stock software. I just want the items listed above, and for future mode (aren't you wanting for their software Crispvx, for larger ingjectors or cams.. somehthing along those lines...)

You will have zero issues with the stock ECU and the ASA kit. Trust me, the 298 rwhp you will get wont make you think twice about your concerns.

Do you think everyone who installs ASA SK1 will get 298hp to rear wheels, or at least close? Also, are their other mods that work well with SC's to increase output at the crank?

Is ASA SKI a better choice than the AA S/C with software?
What are the differences btwn these 2 kits?

i'd like to know something a few people with Xi models like to know. i've been searching and still can't find anything about S/C an 330xi. i have one and don't wanna be left behind. now i'm not talking about jumping the line, just wanna have more oohmp. was wondering if the drivetrain would hold up. samir said no kits for xi... but what's the difference 2wd and awd... just more traction. :-)

It depends what transmission you have...if you have an auto, then the only option available is a non-intercooled ASA kit.

In addition to the ASA SKI kit, there are a couple of other companies that have a supercharger kit for the 330xi:
AA - http://www.activeautowerke.com/main.cfm
ESS - http://esstuning.com/

I've had the ESS kit in my '03 330xi for the last 2,200 miles, and I'm real happy with it. Sleeper time for the street machine.
