FK vs. KW coilovers

does anyone have Fk konigsport coilovers?

what do you think of them?

im deabating between KW v2's or these, ive heard these two are pretty much the same since they both have konig shocks.

basically im looking for something that will go lower than the h&R and Pss9, from what i understand these two kits dont go as low as the kw and fk, correct me if im wrong.

the Ground controls are awesome from what i understand but seem to be a little too stiff for the street.

my car will rarely ever touch a track.

these are for an 02 m3 btw.

I have the FK konigsport coilover and i like them a lot. Right now i have the wheel gaps filled and i believe i could lower it two more inches. I had a shop install them and the guy told me that the FK kit is made better than the bilstein ones. hope this helps.

kenny has the KW v2, so maybe you want to check out his car too, he lives like 5 mins away from you

also, i have couple friends who switched from bilstein pss9 to kw v2 because simply, kw has one of the lowest drop

HR isn't worth the price and might be too stiff

ground control is like HRE, they can customize to your needs, but i have a friend who got it said he loved it but it's pertty high, no where near the drop you can get from kw

Teddy has kw v2 and i am sure you've seen his drop.

out of all these, i would take the kw v2, I love the drop, and i love the ride comfort, perfect for everyday driving i would say.

Many people prefer them over Bilstein, and they use Koni Yellows. Like you said, this is what KW V2's use... so essentially, they are the same thing...

can you ride at the same height as the stock SP suspension with FKs? are they easier to adjust than bilsteins?

I just ordered the FK Variant 2s. They will be here on Feb 27, I can't wait. I will let everyone know how I like them.

FK doesn't offer varient 2's... they offer the Konigsports.

That's what I meant, but I just think it's easier to say Variant 2

As jlevi points out above, FK does not offer Variant 2, and KW does not offer Konigsports. KW offers Variant-series, while FK offers Konigsports.

The reason why I am emphasising this is that Tom at KW Suspensions stated that KW Suspensions and FK Automotive bear no relationship whatsoever, and KW does not make suspension kits for FK. He also mentioned that KW's products and FK's products are not the same, and therefore, would like to know the name of the FK dealer who makes such claim, if there is any.

I have NO intention to point out simple typos, or things for convenience's sake. I just did not want any confusion for any member of the forum, for this thread can be found by someone who searches "FK", "KW", "Variant 2", "Konigsports", etc for more information.

I'm excited to hear from other users who have them, and also to put them on my own car.

You didn't skimp when you bought an M3.

Why skimp on this? Get a Ground Control suspension and have it customized to your driving style.

ground control isn't necessary unless hes looking into tracking/auto-x his car..most of the "right out of the box" brand coilovers are more suited for the sporty everday driving, while KW V.2/PSS9/FK offers adjustability for the weekend warriors
