these are some connectors that allow you to splice into the wire without cutting.. you can get them in Radio Shack for about 2 bucks for 16 connectors..

i kinda had the same problem. but if you leave it right by where the motion sensor sits and where the cover for it snaps on, it'll be hardly noticeable..

I can't seem to find that pdf file anywhere. I guess they took it down from roadfly. does anyone still have it or remember the wiring used? Do I still need to use diodes?

Does that mean there's a dual stage shock sensor? So you can set it up to warn you on the first tap, but on the second the alarm will go off?

What's the warning chirp sound like??

It's wired into the OEM alarm, the sensor is dual stage, but the OEM alarm just goes off like normal if either the first or second stage is tripped.

Is there a way to test the shock sensor to see if its functioning other than beating on the car? I'm not sure if mine is working.

you should be able to see a red light go on in the sensor itself, how do you have it hooked up?

OK guys I am really confused now, I just got my factory alarm activated today. I had already bought a shock sensor so when I got how I said wtf Ill install it today too, I wanted to follow the DIY for behind the glove box, so I did, but I wanted to use the conveniece of the tilt sensor blue/black wire instead of the hood so I could turn the sensor off if i didnt want it on, anyways I hook everything up and gave it a try, NOTHING, the red diode blinks so I know the sensor works; so I decide to make sure everything else is working, I turned the alarm on and stuck my hand in the window, clapped, and then got in the car and turned the alarm on and NOTHING!!!, so while Im at it why not try the tilt sensor, I turn the alarm on and jack up one side of my car, and what do you know NOTHING!!!, I called the Dealership and told them they didnt turn on the motion sensor or the tilt sensor, he checked into it and said that it is not an option to pick what turns on, he said you can turn the system either on or off and thats it, According to my research you can turn things on individually, so wtf, does anyone have any input???
