I also found three ratios for the xi, same as above. Below is the ETK showing it. Interesting that the 3.46 is listed with the word "export." Did they make different ratios for different locations?

If this "Export" means export from Germany then it should be 3.46, cause I'm not in Germany. No?

Do you think dealer might know? haha. Yeah I know stupid question - often dealers don't know crap.

Yeah... if it means that. I'm just curious as to why there's a 3.15. There was no 3.15 option for my car in the ETK.

I tried the Bolt Nut combo instead of a 14mm Hex Socket but because the fill plug was on extremely tight, I stripped about 3 sets of nut/bolts...

After an extensive search I found out that Autozone carries a set of 3 Hex Sockets for $9.99...

I know this thread has been around forever, but I just wanted to thank sycE46.
I just did the swap earlier this evening. I've been driving the car for the last hour and a half ... Big difference.

Oh and he's right about pulling the diff off with 2 people...It got a little frustrating pulling it out by myself.

I've got a problem installing the subframe back after differential swap. Figure 3. the bolts seem to be to short for the nut to go on them as if the subframe got dropped down and now nut does not go on the bolts and bolts dont reach the frame. do i jack it up to get it go back on its own place? how do i reinstall figure 3 back on?
