I didn't think the car was going to work that well before I got to the track. This was the first time at the track with this car, so I didn't invest in race tires at first. After totally melting the Goodyear F1 and loosing control of the car through a 4th gear corner I decided I should throw on some Hoosiers. The guy there had them in the right size and mounted them at the track. The tires that you see that look bald are the hoosier racing slicks...

Are you running 265s or 275s all around?

On the hoosiers and the street tires, I am running 275/35 up front, and a 285/30 in the rear...on 9,5 and 10,5in wide CCW rims.

Excellent! Most guys go for the easy fit 265s. Any idea what tire temps you run at the track? What is your target hot tire pressure?

Yeah,

The tire pressures would be about 35psi rear, 32 or less front. The front tires were running an even 140deg, while the rear were 150 deg plus. Those operating temps are okay, I just new to get some more rear grip and reduce the slip.

If you have an experience with this, let me know I'll send you aligment specs. Maybe you have some input.

This is my first time out with hoosier on this car so I don't know where they work the best in terms of temp and pressure.

You SoCal guys there is an event at buttonwillow with NASA on April 3-4 there will be beginer levels for those going out for the first time and for those of you who think they are ready for competition there is TIme Trial Group were it is open passing where ever you want. I just got back from California Speedway and let me tell you Willow Springs is not even close to being the fastest track in the west. I was hitting 140MPH on the Oval and to top it off a Ferrari Challenge car passed me like I was standing still.

Lets get some people out there.
