Optima Battery

I stopped by Sears today to ask about an Optima Yellow top. They said they cannot put any Optima batteries in BMWs because they require ventilation... which the trunk of the bmw does not have. He said there is a ventalation tube that bmws have for their batteries, but optimas do not have a port for these valves. Any suggestions? Those that have optimas, what have you done?

This has come up before, and not quite understanding why people are worried about Optima's needing ventilation? They don't need any!
I'm getting one for my ICE upgrade and talked to 3 ppl about it, and each one said the same thing above..no worries..

Is that what you have in your trunk? So this requires no ventilation?
