Does anyone know the technical name for the auxiliary electric fan that turns on when the ac is used??

mas leņa al fuego, more wood to the fire, dealer called back and told me that water pump must be also replaced, WTF, are this cars shitty or what, are there any recalls on water pumps, only two years and 18000 miles, what should i do, of course no warranty, no more BMW for me
