Amp question
Alpine HU, component speakers in doors and steathboxes in rear deck - can I use a JL 300/4 to power everything? Is there a way to power the steathboxes from 2 of the channels of this amp? bridged?? Help!!

I am not very familiar with JL amps (check their website for details and owner manuals), but if it is a 4-channel amplifier, you can power the front speakers with two channels and stealthboxes with the other two. If you want to connect rear speakers as well, tie front and rear together to left and right sides respectively (you loose fading capabilities), and still use the other two channels for the stealthboxes.

Yes. This amp will supply the front speakers with 75watts of power. Bridge the rear channels for 150watts to the Stealthbox. |

Oh yeah, when you set this up, post how well it sounds. I'm debating about getting the stealths, but am also one of those that fear loosing the rear fill.
I posted before to get opinions on a setup of keeping the factory head unit, JL 5.25 componants up front, the stealths in the back, powered by the JL 300/4. I got no response. I'm also concerned about the rear deck rattling like hell, since my current non H/K already rattles up a storm! Good luck to ya! |
