this unit looks sick on the website avic-n1.com. Is the new alpine oging to have as many features?? I mean this has digital gauges, navi, touch screen and more all in one unit.

Anyone know if you can get an external DVD Nav drive for it? That would suck if you have to leave the nav disk in the dash all the time. My guess is no, that's why they did the whole Nav memory feature, but if I got one I think I would probably leave the nav dvd in there all the time, so I would have to get a DVD changer for the trunk for cd's and dvd's. The unit is impressive though.

the pioneer one stores the route in memory and then you can remove the nav disc

I would totally change out my Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD if that AVIC-N1 was a 7" screen. That 0.5" makes a huge difference IMO.

Yeah but the N1 has so many more features. I've had both size screens in my car and I don't think its that drastic. If i had to choose i would go with the N1 because of the rediculous ammount of features.

Yes I am saying the N1 will have better graphics, and more features. Have you visted the web site for the n1 yet? They even have computerized gauges. Other than that I am willing to bet the rest of the features are pretty much the same with the N1 having more as it is newer.

Nice, I see there are trade offs between the two. Both look like good buys. The n1 has more built in features it looks like.

dam thanks for that cart comparo, it looks like im getting the 7500, it has better graphics, better outpout voltage, better sound processing and has a tv tuner which i def need.... i swear if the n1 had the tv tuner and 7 " i would def go for it, and yes for some reason, a 7 inch screen looks alot bigger than a 6.5" screen.... what you guys think?

What kind of graphics does it have. Im really getting tired of pioneers moving dolphans grapichs, looks childish and stupid. What kind of new ones does the 7500 have. Im also considereing that one too.

I would stay w/the 7500 and upgrade a nav option w/it. Once you upgrade w/a nav it'll have just as many features the N1 has. One important aspect for me is to have the dolby digital decoder that the N1 doesn't. I like my sound in my car to sound like a home theater.
Those "G-Tech" features that the N1 has are just gimmicks. Not that important than my factors...digital decoder, screen size, tv tuner, and not to mention a LCD when the monitor retracts that tells you what mode or radio station that you're on.

hey europrojectz m3, you seem to know alot about the 7500, how is the graphics on it, liek when you listen to cd's or radio does the screen have crazy effects? also im pickin up this screen tomroow, do you think its worth for me to wait for the kvt 915 possibly? thanks....

also, i heard from my installers that if i get the clarion 935, my sound quality in my system will go down substancially, is this true? i have a complete high end sq setup with the alpine 7998 for the head....
