ppi amp not working

My $600 PPI amp has been sitting in my garage for a long time. It has stopped working since I messed with the wires and the battery terminal still on, i know stupid but oh well the amp is only a month old. Is it fixable? is the fuse located inside? if not where can i get it fixed in the bay area???

Thanks guys

check if there is a voltage feed and draw. if you have a volt meter, that should be very easy.

If its not fixable I have a PPI 2150 2 channel amp for sale. Its the power class amps dealer cost on it was $690, retail was $900. I'll take $300.

Repair is not always the best option anymore, unless you can find a good/cheap place. Most places charge $30 - $50 just to look at it and just find the problem! Repair and parts is usually at least $100.

Open it up and see if you can find anything obvious such as a loose wire. Maybe you can fix it yourself if it is simple enough.

If its the old "art" series, it would be worth fixing.

Ca142, did you install those Punch 200's yet?

Do you mean my amp? I have not started working on the audio in my car yet (maybe next month) I am finishing up with the remote start/instrument cluster V1 display.

What setting is the voltmeter on and what are you measuring? What does it say "when the needle is stuck in the middle?" If you measure DC voltage (set it on 20v scale), you should have about 12volts from the amplifier ground to the battery (should be two fat wires). You should also have about 12 volts from the gound to the remote turn on wire -when the radio is on-

Maybe you amp is not bad and it is an installation problem. If it is too difficult, have someone check it out for you and tell you for sure. Grab the yellow pages and ask around how much they would charge you to figure out what the problem is.
