I think the overall effect was real good. Good pics, too.
I got my front/side clears from Maximilian. Trying to get rears now

I can tell you for a fact that you should have gotten it painted professionally. I done this before, painting the moldings on one of my former car. I too did the usual,

3 layers of primer

3 layers of paint

2 layers of clear cloat

Spent 2 days doing this. It's going to fade in a year or less. Save the money and hassle and get it done professionally.

I think it looks pretty cool they way it sort of contrasts

a bit. It's like a two tone paint job. It looks great
You've got guts to paint something that noticeable on your car by yourself. I think it wokrs out nicely cause the car is silver, any other color imo would look wierd. But once again it looks great.

i like it, that was the reason i didnt get a sedan was because of the black plastic molding i think it looks so shitty and really makes the car look cheap so i love what youve done even if its a tad bit off, looks great

i don't think painting major parts of your car (ie side moldings, spoilers, add ons, etc) should ever be a DIY project.

its something i classify as "bou-ghetto"

but that's just my opinion

true it is a bit ghetto.. but hey.. its just the side-molding... it was better then spending $549 for just some trim.. at http://www.bimmian.com/e46sedan-exttrim.htm so.. $549 vs $40 , hummm I go with the $40 and spend the rest on other parts for the car.. hehehe clear is next and rims..

How much were the clears from Maximillian? I called up my dealer (South Bay BMW) and they offered to order it from Germany for me. Somewhere near $180 for the front pair, and $200 something for the back. Seems a bit outrageous to me. If anyone finds and good clears, tell me! Thanks.
