Where Did You Mount Your Amplifer

Im Looking To Mount My Amplifer Under The Rear Deck Of My Coupe, Upside Down, Im Worried About It Heating Up, Anyone Else Have Their Amp Under There, And How Does It Work, There Is A Cooling Fan In My Amp,but I Feel It Will Be Hard To Blow The Air Downward,

I installed my JL Audio 250/1 under the rear deck and I haven't had any issues with it so far. Of course, it isn't the most ideal mounting scenario especially since the heat rises straight into your amplifier, yet having a fan and some clearance for air to circulate won't hurt. I got my idea from fellow e46fanatic Frank Rizzo, you can check out his post here Frank Rizzo's Install. He mounted his amp using a size 10-32 screw, some well nuts, and nylon spacers. The well nuts are basically rubber rivets, and you can find them in any local hardware store. I had to modify his method a little and mount a board to the rear deck using the well nuts. Then I mounted the amp to the board with nylon spacers to give it some breathing room. Finally, I cut up the HK sub system and used it as a cover to hide all the wiring and make the install appear stealth when you're looking into the trunk. You can't see the amp until you look under the deck. Here are some pics for reference; hope this helps!

Mine is mounted that way and I haven't had any issues with it. Maybe my posted box blows enough air on it to keep it cool.. who knows.

those are jl audio stealthbox subs. they replace oem stereo's that have subs. the rear speakers are in the deck about six to eight inches in towards the cab.

Instead of mounting it upside down, why not mount it in the same place, but "top side up". You might need to come up with some creative mounting brackets or "suspended" mounting board, but it would be a better solution to put less strain on the amplifier.

make sure your amp is not in touch with any metal as it most likely will be broken....

I mounted mine above the battery, on the side. Never in the way, great ventilation, easy to adjust settings.
