i am dying here fella...
my lease is up so i am financing my car, now to get BMWFS' nice 4.9% you have to certify your car which i am willing to do beacuse it's also a good way to see if anything might need a once over as well as an extended warranty!

UNFORTUNATELY, bmwfs will not certify my car cause of my intake and now i have to either buy a aftermarket warranty or go with no warranty (which is not a biggie cause i have confidence in these cars) but i also now move up in the 8% apr.

anybody dealt with this already or know of any documentation that shows that aftermarket intakes will not hurt the car??

any help would be great!

Why dont you just put the stock intake back in the car?????? I would make them show you where it says they cant certify the car................

I'm guessing they've seen his intake already, thus their initial decision not to certify the car.

I guess you can try another dealer (but put back your OEM intake).

all of BMW's records...anywork we have done to our cars that bmw has seen gets noted on their entire network.

If its a Dinan intake BMW is now certifying Dinan cars at BMW/Dinan service centers...

I'm confused... why would the percentage rate be different for a certified vs. non-certified car?
