Mounting amps

So, what is the best location to mount amps, if I want to retain access to my spare tire?

So far the best I saw was mounting it on a linear accuator that could raise and lower.

Is it OK to mount them on the exterior of the sub box?

Thoughts, opinions, suggestions?

If you want simple, just screw it into the side of the sub box. Keep in mind that you may want to silicone the inside of the box where the screws poke through if you want to be anal about it.

There is also plenty of room where the factory CD changer is to mount your amp but this will require some custom work.

Serious? That's horrible for heat dissipation which is one of the considerations when you mount your amp.
