FS: (attn Canadians) bluetooth retrofit wiring harness

If you are Canadian (or European), then your car didn't come pre-wired for telephone like USA spec cars do. This means that you cannot hook up a bluetooth kit! After doing research I found the parts needed to do a telephone prewire retrofit. I ordered the 2 parts needed but my dealership accidentally ordered extra which I ended up having to pay for since they are special order from Germany.... Only Canadian / European dealers can order these parts.

To do a telephone prewire install, you will need this main wiring harness and one other part - a single wire - which costs $55 CDN from the dealership. I don't have this part for sale but I can give you the part number. Once you've done the telephone prewire install you can hook up a regular BMW bluetooth kit no problem. The difficulty of the retrofit is about the same as installing an aftermarket CD player. Not hard at all. I documented the retrofit as I did it and can send a photocopy along with the wiring harness to make the install simple.

So I have a main retrofit wiring harness for sale. The dealership cost on this item is about $360 CDN if I remember correctly. Make me an offer via private message or email.

As discussed through PM, consider this sold. I'm publicly asking the following questions in case there are any other Canadians in the same boat that can benefit from this info:
  • What is the part number for the missing wire?
  • Did the Canadian dealer have to special order this wire from Germany? If so, what is the lead time?
  • Do the big online dealers (e.g. Circle) have this part available?

Life is fragile

Good idea to document it, Santiago. To answer your questions:

I don't have the part number handy here. I am currently in MN for work until the end of August and the part numbers are at home in Alberta.

The part is special order from Germany. It took about a week to come in.

The part is *only* available for purchase in Canada / Europe, the same as some other parts (first aide kit etc, independent heating, etc)

I'll post part numbers when I have access to them again. It was a beotch to find them in the first place, so I'm not going to attempt to try to find them again.
