No room for wires in headunit area. whats the trick??

Ok I have read through tons of archives etc and I am still having problems trying to get my scosche wiring harness and alpine harness with tons of stuff hangin off the back (rcas, and dc to dc preamp hangin off) I have read to take the ac vents out, but I CAN NOT get them out even though some ppl say you push up and these clips on unclip then pull out, still nothing. There is just NO ROOM for me to route the wires and all the other stuff. What can I do?? My problem is exactly like this guys 2 years ago, however no one really gave any answers that yield a solution for me. Your help is GREATLY appreciated.

i know exactly what you're going through. It took me 3 frustrating hours to find a way to get them to fit. There's like no space at all in there. I eventually ended up cutting away a little bit of the plastic frame underneath the HU. There's plenty of space to stuff the harness under there. Just stuff it all in there and pop your headunit in... supposedly you could also do it by pulling the climate control out and stuffing it behind there also...
