i just did the retrofit. i tried to hook a wire up just like in the picture (connecting the bluish wire and plugging into slot #4) the outer rings came on, but the tail light warning on the dash did not go out. i also tried connecting the black wire and plugging into slot #4, and i came up with the same result. what did i do wrong?

ABLAS question

I have the kit and was wondering, if I am parked, standing still, and press the brake, should the outer ring light up? Or does it only light during actual driving? Because mine does not light when pressing the brake and standing still.

this does not get rid of the error message on the dash, this mod only allows your outter rings to light up. Thats it.

Yes, you are correct.

I still need to have the dealer to get rid of the warning light...

You need one new wire for each side, so 2 total.

I just did the LED upgrade. First I tapped the wire to the black/green wire and the warning lights came came on, but when I tapped it to the bluish wire, the warning lights did not come on. However, whenever I turned on the lights, the signals flicked a little. Also, it looks kinda bright than tapping to the black/green and the outer lights did not come on when you brake during the day time. I think the right way is tap it to the black/green and have the dealer reprogram the warning lights issue.

Wondering after you got it reprogrammed, did the flickering go away? BMWPower06, what local dealer did you take your car to for reprogram? Thanks.

Well, somehow I tapped it to the bluish wire, the warning lights never came on. I've been driving for the whole day and it still didn't come on, but I can't stand the flickering issue.

Great, thanks for your info. How long did it take them to reprogram it? Do I have to drop off the car, you know that they don't offer a free loaner if you didn't buy a car from them?
