Sunroof

I have a problem. After having my factory alarm activated (after 3 times to the dealer), I wanted to make sure the motion sensor works. I know this was a very dumb thing to do: My sunroof was tilted open, the shade was almost closed, I dropped a bic lighter through the crack, hoping to set the alarm off. Needless to say I had forgotten that the visor was closed, so the lighter fell onto the visor. I got in my car thinking the bic fell into the back seat, open my sunroof and it's getting jammed up on the lighter. How the heck am I going to get it out. I know how stupid it sounds, but I really do not want to have to take it into the dealer, afraid they will install a new sunroof. tia

I think someone posted a how to remove the moon roof for a broken clip exchange. Do a search for "sunroof clips" or something to that effect.

Sorry dude. The sunroof on our rides are a little delicate. When I took mine in for repairs and I had to take it back three times before they got it right. On the third try, they had to just go back to basics and remove everything associated with the sunroof and put in all new parts. Now it works like it should. Good luck.

next time you need to test it, just lock your car with your windows down and stick your arm in and wave it around.
