I recently purchased a Jet Black painted replica tornado front bumper from Datoshway. He tells me his family is in the shipping business & that my bumper will be shipped with the highest quality. The bumper is sent to me via Fed Ex wrapped by cardboard box around the painted bumper. No bubble wrap is put inbetween the cardboard box and the bumper, so obviously when it arrives there are scratches everywhere on the bumper & two of the corners are chipped. So I tell him this and he files a damage claim for me to Fed Ex. I give back the bumper to Fed Ex because I call Datoshway and he says he will refund me my $350. After Fed Ex inspects the bumper, they say it was packaged insufficiently (DUH!!!) and wont pay for the damages. So I try calling him back on his cell phone 5 times, doesnt pick up. So I pm him here on the forum and he tells me he cant refund me my money back anymore cuz he used it on bills. He says that since he's not a business and doesnt have that much money that he shouldnt be held responsible for shipping damages. But he wrapped cardboard around a painted bumper without bubble wrap. How is it not supposed to get damaged????? Why do I screwed over that he didn't package it well? Now Fed Ex is sending him the bumper back & I have nothing. No bumper & no money. :thumbdwn:

I hate to say I told you so.....but he is bad news.


If it comes down to it call the police. You can even file a fraud claim with paypal(if thats how you paid)

I have all his info from a previous transaction if you need it

Bottom line is I posted pic you guys saw the bumper I didn't send it out like that it got damaged during shipment and fed ex didn't cover it. End of story it's their fault and he wants me to pay for it bull**** i'm not a store there is no refunds here show me where I said I will refund money if your not satified? huh show it to me ****in ****

No lets not put words into my mouth. I explained the procedure to you. I told you Fed Ex will send me a check for the insured amout then I would cut you a check but Fed Ex didn't refund anymoney therefor no check. Then I told you I would try to resolve the situation in another fashion to make up for the troubles you had to go though with Fed Ex. But instead you decided to drop me feedback??? I'm not so sure about that.

Dude,

Give the man back his money. You didn't package it sufficiently, therefore it's your fault. :read: I can't believe you would send anything out without bubble wrap...you rolled the dice and lost. Now, do the right thing and pay the man what's due to him.

if you bubble wrap the bumper and ship it, there wouldn't be damages.... you didn't pack the bumper well that's why there were chips and scratches.......

thanks guys for the support :) i've done business with kevin (kwang1) before. i bought his genV DDE's and he couldnt have shipped them in any better condition :thumbup: Even though they were only $125 shipped, he made sure to package it as if they were his own still. I really dont want to make a big deal about this since it's not a huge loss of money. but i wish you would have the courtesy to treat the things you sell & the pple u sell them to with more care. we all love our cars here & it's just the right thing to do to refund someone their money if the product sent wasn't delivered in the condition agreed upon before. Fed Ex actually sent the bumper back to me because they said they dont have your home address (cuz u sent it from a world shipping center in FL :dunno:), so if you could please message me ur address i can have them send it back to you. Still hoping for the refund, but in any case have a good day.

hopefully he feels bad about how he packed the bumper and after seeing the damage due to bad packing will refund you your money.

Datoshway... do the right thing, pay back his money back, your negligence caused all this troubles. If you package and preserved it right to prevent from outside damage then FEDEX will cover it but no you didn't than it your fault... Your name is on my black list.

Datoshway, please PM me back. My goal isn't to hurt your rep or anything like that. If you would like to just pay the cost for fixing the bumper, that's fine too. I will send you an estimate if you would like to proceed in this direction. I got a few friends who own body shops, so it shouldn't be too bad.

the bumper he sold to me was actually a good bumper, however it was packaged without bubble wrap and was damaged from the shipping process.

I would assume some form of common sense to kick in when someone is shipping something. I guess I'm just naive. Fact is, you owe 350. That's not much different from selling someone a watch, smashing it with a hammer, and sending it to them broken. Your part in the deal is to get the product to them, (in the condition you promised), and that goes without saying, IMHO.

He owes you your money back - Look at the paint, I can already tell it was a bad job. FedEx didn't honor the refund because it wasn't packed well, so what do you think that he is screwed because FedEx didn't cover your ass (seller directed) - Call the Police.
