My Ride: Alpina B3S Coupe
'04 BMW/Alpina B3 S #110

Greetings to the board,

Since I've been a long-time lurker on these forums I thought I'd introduce my E46 now that I finally managed to buy one. The car is in truly immaculate condition. Interior looks like it's never been used, engine bay looks like the car just rolled off production line, and exterior paint looks like new without any dents, stone chips or such.

The car has had two previous owners and the odometer just passed 81,000 kilometers (which equals ~50,000 miles). It comes with a full service history, including major inspections performed by Alpina themselves, and no accident history. It's a non-smoker vehicle and animal-free. It's never been driven in winter and extremely seldom even in rain.

Exterior color is 668 (Schwarz II/Jet Black) and interior color is N6NG (Naturbraun/Natural Brown).

I've got lots of plans for future modifications, but before anyone starts ranting about it, I'll have you know that I've previously owned two other Alpina cars which I modified. I never have and never will make any irreversible modifications, and all standard parts will be saved, tagged/labeled and safely stored down to the last bolt, nut and washer.

Now on to some pictures...

Now, I apologize for the quality of the pictures as they really don't do the car justice, I used the camera on my mobile phone and I'm a rather poor photographer at that.

The currently planned modifications include the following:

BMW Motorsport II Rear Bumper
BMW Motorsport II Rear Bumper Carbon Insert
BMW Motorsport II Side Skirts
BMW Pre-facelift Front Bumper
BMW/Alpina Pre-facelift Front Bumper Lip
BMW/Alpina Front & Side Stripe Kit Silver
BMW/Alpina 18" 2-piece Softline Rims
BMW/Alpina Boot Spoiler
6000K Xenon High & Low Beams
6000K LED Angel-Eyes
6000K LED Fog Lights
6000K LED Reverse Lights
6000K LED License Plate Lights
Medium/Light Tinted Windows
Carbon B-pillar Covers
Chrome-Line Door Handles
Chrome-Line Grille
Eibach 27.0 MM Front Stabilizer
Eibach 21.0 MM Rear Stabilizer
Wiecher Front & Rear Aluminum Strut Bars
Chrome-Line Door-Lock Pins
Chrome-Line Speedo- & Tachometer Rings
Chrome-Line Gearshift Surround
Chrome-Line E-brake Button
Custom Color-coded Shift Boot (Naturbraun N6NG)
Custom Color-coded E-brake Boot (Naturbraun N6NG)
Luxury Wood "Myrtle" E-brake Grip

More plans do exist, but this will make a good start.

Most of these items have already been ordered, the rest I hope to order within the next two months. Unfortunately the car is already put away for winter storage, so none of the modifications will be applied until spring arrives. I hope you like the car and if this thread succeed in generating some interest I will try to keep it updated as the project progresses.

mmmmmmm Alpina

I wish alpina made m3 parts, but then that would defeat the purpose of an alpina.

Cheers for all the positive comments, they're very much appreciated.

Also considering the following more performance-oriented modifications in a not-too-distant future (next year's winter season):

AFE Power Magnum Air Intake Stage 2 (Dry)
Quaife Limited-Slip Differential 3.64 Final Gear
Evosport Underdrive Lightweight Pulleys
UUC Short-Shift incl DSSR
Exhaust Headers
Custom 4-pipe Exhaust (non-M version)

For exhaust headers I would've liked the Supersprint ones, but they may be a bit too pricey (especially with regards to other future modifications).

Does anyone have any views, considerations or suggestions about these? If so I'd be happy to receive them and perhaps make more educated choices.

Hello Alleci!

Nice B3S!

Could it be that you've purchased the B3S in Austria?
Because I saw the license plates of Baden in the back!

Thank you, and that is indeed correct. I went down to Trumau about a month ago to buy it. Not very many of these around at all, and as far as I know there's only three in the world with this exact color scheme (mine, a RHD car in the UK and a LHD car in Japan).

Very cool!

I am wondering how you have found this beauty in our country, because everyday I am looking at the internet for a E46.

I found it on the German site mobile.de where I had a subscription telling me whenever a B3S Coupe was put up for sale.

I'd recommend you look at either mobile.de or autoscout24.de for your car needs. Both of them have mostly German ads listed, but within the last year or so the amount of ads from other countries (Austria, France, Netherlands, etc) has increased.

Other than that I'd say that patience is your best friend.
