Choice tire for OEM 19" M3 wheel?
Well, I have all but worn though through the first set of the Conti sports that came on my M3.. Can't say I was too impressed with them, though they did wear respectably having been to four autocrosses and a car control clinic...
I am getting more into AutoX, and even if I decide in a few months to plunk down some money on some 18" wheels to give me more tire options for the track, it doesn't change the fact that I do still need some new tires on the 19" wheels. So I've been shopping. The OEM rims are 19x8(F) and 19x9.5(R). I am leaning towards Toyo Proxes T1-S at 245/35-19 (F) and 275/30-19 (R) as a good street tire that will also be a good option for autocross a few times. AFAIK, TireRack doesn't sell Toyo, but maybe someone else on the board can offer an opinion on this setup and this size. Thanks! |

pilot sport 2s are head and shoulders above the competition in wet grip, dry grip, low noise design, and unfortunately, price :\
but there is a deal where u can save $50 on 4 new michelin tires.... so if u order them it comes ouyt to about the same price as 4 new bridgestone potenza s03s and the grip on these tires is amazing.... ask anyone on roadfly too... |
