continentals Vs Michelins

Im looking to put on a set of 4 continental extreme contacts for my Lexus. I have the michelin MXV4 205/65/15 on currently how much of a difference will I notice between the two tires while driving and how much better are the continentals in the snow vs the michelins?

The Extreme Contact will have faster steering response, better wet and dry grip compared to the MXV4, but reduced a bit less treadwear and slightly less traction in snow.

I thought it was the opposite that the continental extremes would be better in the snow than the MXV4's and have a longer tread life also. How many miles can I expect to get out of the MXv4's compared to the continental extremes with normal everyday driving? Even on the tirerack.com website when I compared the two tires the continentals were rated better for the snow.

Survey results are only comparable within the same tire performance catagory.

The MXV4 is Grand Touring, while the Extreme Contact is an Ultra High Performance All Season.

Most see about to 30,000 miles out of the Conti on average, closer to 40,000 miles on the MXV4.
