Michelin Pilot Sport vs. Bridgestone S-03

I was wondering if anyone has used both these tires.

How do they compare to each other?

especially in tread life and handling.

These two are feel nearly identicle when driven back to back in testing. If you're after the best of the best in Max performance, check out the newer Pilot Sport PS2, which was a slight step above even the S03 and older Pilot Sport.

What about the Goodyear F1's? I live in Southern California, so I do not need to worry about snow, etc. Mainly concerned with noise, performance, and tread life. Considering the S-03's, PS2's, or the F-1's. I own a 2003 M3 with stock size 18's.

I have the F1 GS-D3 tires on my 04 ZHP. The tires are great. I replaced the OE Potenza RE040 with the F1's. These are much better. Steering response is better (more linear). Wet and dry grip is very good. Ride is good, not too firm and well damped. Noise is good.

Very comparable to the S03 in nearly every catagory, just a notch below the PS2 in handling, but a slightly softer ride.

with the prices of s03's and the discount on ps2's you cant go wrong with ps2s

I've gotta give a

to the PS2's. When my PS's wore out, I went with the PS2, on Gary's recommendation, and have been extremely happy. The tread design isn't as cool as on the PS, but the performance is noticeably better - and I thought the PS's were great.
