M-Tech strikes again

Well, I've heard and talked to people who think Oscar is an M3 often enough, but yesterday the overheard remark from some young wondering if my car was 'the new 5 series' gave me a giggle

Thanks

Mostly the car is not very clean (I blame constantly wet roads around here from peoples crazy garden irregation) but this color really saves me - you have to get very close to tell that its dirty.

Well, as I am a female I prefer my objects to be male The only reason vessels are referred to as 'her' in the first place is because men established that tradition and in this case I chose not to follow that (one of the influences for naming the car was that it is Oscar color - Academy Award - gold, and it is rather German sounding to boot...) To each his/her own I guess

Hey is that M-Tech kit only for the coupe??? I was looking at what is supposedly the same front end at bavauto.com and it had the black moldings. Does the kit for the sedan HAVE to come with the moldings?

These guys were not kids, at least old enough to drink in the state of CA.......

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy when people notice it the car at all since I put so much effort into getting it together in the first place... It just amusing to hear how certain people can be in thier incorrect assumptions and not even ask.

As for the sedan M-tech , I'm afraid that like all OEM bodywork the design gets black mouldings by default. Since you have to paint the parts anyway just go ahead and have the moulding done at the same time (anyone with sedan stuff feel free to correct me if I'm off base here)

That's nothing... some high school drop out (that was loitering in the 7 eleven parking lot) told me mine "looks like the roadster from the front"

Did you put the whole M Tech kit for just front?

Did you put the whole kit on on just the front bumper?

Also boats female name came from the ancient Egyptians but as you said it was men naming them ususally for their wives or gods.

That's funny! I had some Kids around 17-18 ask me Friday night what kind of car I was driving. They were standing about 5 feet away. Come on!! I was in a diffrent part of town then I live. But have they never seen a BMW????

I have been looking inot the M-tech kit. I love the look it gives the car from the front. It should be the factory front bumper if you ask me.

Thanks for the reply Valerie!

Anyone know how the fit is with the mtech kit? I would assume since it is OEM BMW it would be perfect...

I think I am leaning towards Mtech over getting the RD front...

Anyone know if any of the bmw dealers in the bay area carry mtech stuff??? Or should I just go with bavauto.com?

Its just funny to me all the stuff thats said,a nd that anyone says anything at all in the first place. I never got remarks on my Prelude or MR2

(I'm glad the M-tech isnt the factory bumper - and to answer the post above, I have the full kit.)

(PPS: i got all my stuff from Pacific BMW - couldnt of done it without them. When you get the parts just take it to a good body shop for paint and install - which I did myself with help but dont really advise)
