Sounds a little low to me, but that should help you move it faster.
I sold my 02 with 26k for $42,000.
Roughly the same specs as yours.

Hope this helps, good luck with the sale

hmm

I bought my 02 M3 SMG with 18k for just a bit more than that (41,500). Differences were Conforti software, M Cloth seats.

I just got mine with the same specs plus cold weather, hk, and escort srx radar w/ 43k miles for $34,500. But tires and brakes needed to be changed so you have to adjust for that. $39,500 is a great deal for your car and you can probably sell it for a bit more. Also my cars production year was late 01 and might be a factor in the low price. Good luck with the sale

Thanks...my goal was to price it such that I wouldn't have to sit on it long to sell. New car coming in ~3 weeks, and I'd rather not have 2 car payments

Going from an M3 to an SUV? Wow, what a nightmare!

Kinda kidding there - I'm guessing theres reasons behind the move. Good luck on your sale

haha...actually it's not even that bad. I need it for a side-business I'm starting. I'm looking at X5 4.4 or 4.6's, so it's not as bad as it could be.

Thanks for all the input guys!

way way too cheap. Good buy if the car is in good condition.

The car is pristine...I'd rather list the car at 39,500 firm, and not have to deal with people trying to haggle with me.

Any recommendations for selling???

I currently have my car on AutoTrader, RoadFly, and here. Other than these 3, are there any other auto sale resources anyone would recommend. I've had a ton of interest in my car, but only one person who put a deposit and then couldn't get financing. I've also had a bunch of people try to "low-ball" me into selling for $35K. I told them to take a hike, because the car is already discounted substantially. Anyway, any advice would be appreicated.

Thanks,
Todd

Todd, what will the dealership give you for it?
I would set that as my low point.
Have you tried posting it on m3forum.com?
If not, let me know and I'll post it under my user name.

Good luck!

that's teh problem...

I'm not buying my next car from a dealer. I'm actually buying it from someone I found here on e46fanatics. If I were trading, I'd probably get 37k as a guess.

I'm not familiar with M3forums. I'd really appreciate it if you could post over there for me!

Thanks for the help!

Todd

Todd, what I meant is, have you gone down to BMW dealership and asked them how much they would buy it from you for?
You won't get as much as from a private party, but you could use it as a last resort.

I'll post this thread on m3forum for you.

If you have a Carmax around you, you should try selling the car to them. I've heard that their offers are pretty fair and usually above what the "normal" dealers offer.

private sale > trade-in > carmax. Carmax will not give you a good deal. I had a friend go there to sell his car and they offered him less than the dealer would have given him. fwiw
