black flag w/ one blue stripe across ????????

Has anyone seen a sticker of this flag on people's windshield/bumper

It's a completely black flag, with a solid blue strip across the center.

I see that more and more, but have no clue what it's for?!

thanks

diver on board! Actually that's a red flag with a white diagonal strip.
It might be some mutated form of the diver one... maybe like surfer on board or something

I've seen those little flag/stickers too. I have also seen one that's a dark purple with a yellow stripe across the middle. Maybe a google search will yield something.

It means they are a cop or have an affiliation with the police...it's basically watered down now in it's meaning...it used to be secretive so if a cop pulled you over and saw it they wouldnt give you a ticket. It represents "the thin blue line" which means the cops.

When I was living in ATL 6 years ago, I would see them all over the place, there was even a news report on TV telling about it..that's how I know what it means.

Ask the cops in West Hollywood. They'll be more than happy to explain it to you. They even have rainbows on their cars

They are indeed and symbol of being a member of the force. The secret is getting out and some civilians are purchasing them with hopes of avoiding being pulled. I found them for sale here: http://www.honorcountry.com/blue-and...e-sticker.html

They also make them for fire rescue: http://www.honorcountry.com/red-and-...e-sticker.html

Yeah, sorry to say that these are probably completely useless now folks. Now every person and their mother who wants to avoid a ticket knows about them and has one. Cops don't know which one's real anymore so they don't care.
