Nope.. 150mph won't blow the dirt off. (large pic)

Amber & I did a roadtrip last week. 4265 miles from Dallas to Montana to SW Utah to Dallas. Almost all of it on backroads - which unfortunately a few times in Colorado ended up being dirt roads when up at altitude.

I took these pics in Alpine Wyoming after diong a muddy stretch of road which lead to a nice straight. I figured going 150 while the water was still wet on the car would blow it all of. I was wrong

Washed the car twice and it still had a brown tint. Doh!

cheers,
Edward

Finally, a BMW owner (especially an m3 owner) who actually is not afraid to DRIVE his car and get a little dirty.

Clean cars are for pansies.

Awesome 4000 miles of backrounds and not worrying about what you look like when you come home sounds like a fun drive to me

ya. accelerating and braking and driving in general is so much more fun when you don't have to concentrate on trying to keep brake dust and water splashing and road dust to a minimum. 4.2k miles got you two new mods. Dinan exhaust tips and gunmental rims. Cool.

The very surface of a car barely feels any aerodynamic flow over it, even water beads need a good bit of speed to start moving. I've tried the same after a rain shower that cleared up when i was still cruisin', but didnt do much.

On a side note, love the car...every time i see the 19s on the M3 i love them more and more.

ahhaha dannng all the way from Dallas ?

thats crazy

looks like you had alot of fun, I would not choose any other car to make a road trip in. Good choice on SMG too, it seems to be not so well liked on this board.

For a moment, I thought you had CF mirrors.

I'm loving the exhaust. Have fun washing her.

Dirty cars are fine as long as they don't stay that way when you're done having fun. Keepin it clean is where it's at.
