Thumbs Up IBUS to Alpine Ai-Net CHA-S634 protocol converter

This guy has developed a converter which has everything which we are looking for as in interface to the Alpine MP3 changer including displaying ID3 tags on the headunit, no lag time (dont need to convert to M-Bus) and folder navigation. he says this should cost under 100GBP ($160)

Let's all email him and get him to market this for our use!

Converter

I just e-mailed Simon to get more info on the converter. My interest is in eliminating the BlitzSafe adapter between the Phatbox (http://www.phatnoise.com/products/di...yers/index.php) and the head unit so that the head unit (OEM) displays ID3 tags.

I just emailed him as well; I have Phatbox too and would like to display the tags...

yeah, and it eliminates the M-Bus and lag time. That's the best part. Let's everyone who has the Alpine unit to get in on a group buy.

Anyone know if auxiliary input would be an option? I connect my IPOD or other sources (DVD for stereo sound) this way with the BlitzSafe adapter.

He posted a note on his forum that there was low interest so he did not proceed with the release.
