Anybody have the pin outs for the HK Speaker switch on the center console?
I have the older switch wich is a single button, not a part of the panel that newer models have. It's a six pin connector. I think it only uses the four leads. +12v (accy, ignit) Ground dimmer lead switch to HK amp Much thanks if anybody has it. |

Do you know what the switch does? It sends a positive? signal to HK amp to enable the spatial effect? I know it makes the system sound different I leave mine on all the time so whats the point of having the switch?

You would turn it off if you are getting poor radio reception and did not want the spatial effect to worsen your sound. Also, some audiophiles claim that it sents the center of the sound stage to an area near the center of the car.
I prefer the switch on as well. Quote:
