I'm not sure I would call this a steal. Most people consider used rotors with significant mileage to be nearly worthless. For example, when 528i owners upgrade to 540i front brakes, they typically pay about $200 - $250 for the used 540i brakes which include calipers, caliper frames, pads, clips, and rotors. These parts would sell new at a discount dealer, such as Pacific BMW, for nearly $1000. There's a huge depreciation for used "consumable" items such as tires, brake pads (if anyone would buy used pads!), and even wheels. In the case of the 528i to 540i brake upgrade, the used value is less than 1/4 the new value even at low miles AND that is for a mix of consumable (i.e. rotors) and non-consumable (i.e. calipers) parts.

Consider the average lifetime of rotors on these cars to be in the 25,000 to 35,000 mile range and that should influence the sale price of something which may be close to 50% used up. I realize some 328i owners may have achieved far higher mileage from a set of rotors, but some have achieved less. It's very dependent on the topography (e.g., San Francisco vs Kansas) and the age/aggressiveness of the driver.

Finally, nobody here has asked the seller the two key questions. Before these rotors were removed from the car, were there problems with judder under braking? You don't want to inherit someone else's brake judder problem! And how much life is REALLY remaining on them? Miles mean nothing when one driver can go through a set of rotors in 15,000 miles and another can make them last for 60,000 miles. You need to know the remaining thickness of these rotors as measured INSIDE the raised ridge along the outside edge. The front rotors were 22mm thick when new and the rear rotors were 19mm thick. BMW allows 1.6mm of wear. Thus, the rotors should be considered completely used up when they reach 20.4mm and 17.4mm thickness respectively. The buyer needs to ask these questions or they will have no idea what they are getting.

In order to set an upper price bound on these rotors, you should look at the cost of buying them new. Tire Rack sells these Brembo replacement drilled rotors for $194/pair. If you pay someone else to install them, keep in mind you will be paying them again MUCH sooner when you buy used rotors which are 50% worn. You must factor in labor costs to your decision.

Personally, I would not purchase used rotors unless they were virtually brand new, such as take-offs from a new car that immediately was upgraded to big brakes.

I realize this probably isn't going to make me popular with the originator of this thread, and for that I apologize. I'm not trying to undermine your sale and I'm not trying to accuse you of trying to pull a fast one.

No. These are counterfeit parts. The list price of the Brembo p/n 35325 front rotors is $229 per pair. These are being sold for $96 per pair which is far lower than the wholesale cost. In fact, this is below wholesale for PLAIN Brembo front rotors. There's no way these are anything but Chinese fakes. Buyer beware.
