My Pimp Machine

My Bimmer has 59000 miles and I don't have any problems. I don't have squeaks, I don't have any complaints. I actually enjoy the speed - not that I'm not spending money to try and make it faster. I love the handling, I'm crazy about the "creature features" like the heated leather seats and single touch up & down on all four windows. The sound is good. And the looks - both the looks of the car and the looks that I get while driving one - are unbelievable.

I don't understand these people that are members at "E46Fanatics" who do nothing but ***** about their E46s. It was a dream car for me, and now that I've got it, it's living up to everything I'd hoped for. Of course, maybe I'm the only one on these boards who works my A** off every single day to work and save to make money. Maybe I'm the only one on these boards who feels lucky to have enough money after paying the house payment, buying groceries, and taking care of my family, to be able to own such a nice, luxurious, fun car.

Of course, I'm also the kind of guy who enjoys being able to sit back at the end of a hard week and enjoy a good cigar and snifter of cognac as a reward for my hard work - not as an entitlement for being alive.

Out with the whiners!

Excuse me, take care of my car? I'm babying the f'ing thing, keep it clean and only have 28k miles after 3 1/2 years and all I get is problems and the dealership breaking more things than I took it in to fix. I bought my car so it would become a second car not something that BMW treats like crap and disrespects and breaks.

not only mod wise, but maintaining wise too, and the most important, the POS stuff that breaks

besides the usual annoyances : [window regulators, window trim, sunroof shade clip, HK Speakers rattle-ing] I really haven't had any problems with the car. Maybe you just got a lemon BMDoubleU2k4?

If your car is such a POS, get a Toyota or Honda!! But get off of this board!!

I think +80% of the people complaining about the car are just complaining for the sake of complaining, and wouldn't trade their car for a similar car in the same price/performance category.

The more someone pays for an item, the more likely people are to nit pick about things that may be minor in a lesser car. I don't think it has anything to do with people not working for their cars, or not having bills to pay or anything of that sort, 'cause believe it or not, it's not a rarity for people to buy their car with their own money.

Everyone's rather critical around here, and I'm glad. The more critical and vocal the owners are, the more likely that the manufacture will improve/refine their car. If everyone bought a BMW and said "this is the greatest vehicle ever, and has no faults," then how could BMW improve on their design if they never got feedback from the owners?
