After a 3 week wait (backorder) I finally got it.
http://www.egauges.com/vdo_acce.asp?...E46_ePod&Cart= It replaces the upper plastic piece of the steering column. Everything fits perfectly and it has all the corrects holes as the OEM version. Each pod is completely removable and both 52mm and 60mm gauges fit very snug via a rubber insert. Both pods swivel so the angle is adjustable, and they provide holes to hide any wires. Overall, it's very clean and looks good IMO. I've attached some pictures as an example of how it would look (the gauge really isn't hooked up). I'm still waiting for my boost warning gauge from importparts.com, the screwed up my order and sent me a White Warning EGT gauge instead of a Silver Warning Boost Gauge, those idiots... So I'll have pics of that gauge installed whenever the mixup is done with. Original Piece: Side View. Notice the wire coming out of the back of the pod, this wire hides under the column piece: Front View. Depdning on how you tilt the column, and your angle, it does block your view of the fuel and engine temp gauges, but you can still see the needles. Also note the left pod is completely removable: Last edited by Solid; 10-26-2004 at 02:31 AM. |

looks good, but i think it covers too much info....i like to know when I'm throwing a fault code, and since i'm a step; what gear I'm in.
but if you like it, why listen to me... happy it fits nicely

I held the camera lower than head level, so you can see a little more of the cluster. I'm only going to use 1 pod (removing the left one) so seeing the codes will be fine. I guess it could be a problem if you used both...

The gauge in the picture is a 60mm.
