For sure...even the 225 HP engines today run with many of the 280 HP engines (think Acura TL, Maxima)

Unhappy Bangled 3

My worst fears have come true! Bangle has spread his nasty designs across the whole lineup! Please, someone stop him! The grill looks suspiciously similar to the new grill designs of Audi, the headlights still aren't right, and the bulkiness of the taillights leaves me asking "why?" At least they're giving us the option of deleting I-Drive. When is BMW going to start listening to us- the fanatics?

Is the new 3 coupe going to be a 4?......

Originally BMW was going to call the new 3 coupe a 4, but they've changed their minds again- it's staying a 3.

looks like my first bmw will most probably be my last

personally i hate the interior, to much like the 5 series. I had a new 5 series as a loan car and it feels so cheap and tacky, even when you close the door is doesnt sound as solid as dads e39 or even my e46. There is way to much plastic in the interior and feels like a toyotas interior

The outside dont especially like, the fron i can deal with but the back screams "Japanese Import"

Where has all the class gone?

Can't really say I like the new E90, but not hating it either. I guess it just looks like a normal BMW to me, nothing special about the car that amazes me. The E90 doesn't look bad either, however, just need some mods and it'll look just fine. However, the E90 M3 (concept?) looks really nice.

1.the E46 interior is way better than the S4 (it even looks like they copied BMW too)

2.so they copied the Idrive thingie/monitor too?
(bmw had it first, fix me if im wrong)

The E90 has yet to grow on me. I'm just not really feeling the designs of any of the latest BMW models. I'm still getting the 2005 Club Sport E46 M3. Regardless of what kind of power the E90 M3 is projected to produce, I just don't expect it to be as drop dead sexy as the current model. Look forward to the new site, Tim.

Nope

They haven't changed their minds. All sedans will have odd numbers and coupes even numbers hence the Z4 coupe, 5 series sedan, 6 series coupe, 7 series sedan...so 4 series coupe, 3 series sedan.

Does anyone know when the E46 M3 production will cease? I need to time an order to get in before E46 M3 production halts.

Thanks,
Alan

Yes and no, I still believe 3 series coupe is staying a 3 series. For now anyway.

Here is the picture comparison between e46 vs e90 both in stock form.

Somehow I feel e46 looks a lot more sporty than e90..

In those pics yes but its hard to tell because I dont think the angles are the same and one is a picture of a real car the other is a picture of a picture.

The E90 is supposed to be wider then the E46 but in that picture it doesnt look like that. I will wait till I see it in person.

That's what Automobile Magazine reported in their last issue.

So, it's hard to judge the new 3 in stock form. A stock E46 doesn't look any better IMO.

You all better put the haterade down.
Sure it looks different and that Bangle designed it(he had a hand in the E46 too btw) but hold off the criticism til you've seen it and driven it.
Yep, it doesn't look familiar but that alone doesn't make it bad.
Most people are afraid of the new and unknown and that's normal but let's give it a chance first.
I like it and if I get the opportunity I would def pimp it
Pending a test drive of course and a price check
The only constant is change...

I agree, change is a good thing, but I still think Bangle missed the mark on this one. He could have gone in a similar design direction as the 5 and 7 while making it appealing to the hardcore BMW lovers like us. My biggest beafs are the "eyebrow" look headlights and the confusing and over-styled rear end.
