Just started tracking my car this past summer (2004) at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. I've only done about 30 laps so I'm still a newb-rookie
Track's closed for winter now, so I'm anxious for it to open again in spring

I've done one season of AUTOX and a 2 day DE at Watkins Glen and a DE at BeaveRun. My car has been taking a beating.

My Ride: 330i and 325CiC
|
I just started autcrossing and have done 4 events. So far I've autocrossed with the BMW club and Audi club in the Chicago area. I also did a one day car control clinic. At the last event of the season, I took 1st in my class at the Windy City BMW event
. My goal is to hit 12-15 events next year and try to get in the top three spots for the season long title challenge with the BMW club. I've autocrossed my 330i (once) and my wife's 325CiC (three times). The 325 will be my main autocross car for the next couple of years because it is more competitive in its class than the 330. (our local club has its own system for classing cars). Plus the 325 is a lease car and I can beat the snot of it without feeling bad. I also want to do 2-4 DEs this year, but I've have to use the 330i for that since the clubs I'm in won't let you track a vert without rollbar and hardtop.

I race..... Vintage!!!
I race a 72 2002 in vintage and BMW club racing. Driving this car is like running a go cart - you are always working it!
I used to run a 320i and sort of gave up on it because it was too heavy a chassis for the hp I could generate. The e46 is my street car. Bob www.oftenlastracing.com |

I remember your car from the VIR-Patriot event back in September. Nice setup you've got!

That car is awesome! Having restored three 02's myself, I can verifty those cars are addicting. My next project is a m2002...

I've been to the track twice. Both at Pocono but both times were different track setups. Was lucky enough to get the Long Course once that included both infield turn-in's. I'm absolutely hooked and will be going out to as many track events either at Pocono, Shanandoah, or Lime Rock as I possibly can.
Now I just need to get sways and a helmet. I'm still borrowing all the time!

I did auto-x and DEs in my old 96 318ti for five years and now with the E46 wagon, I still autocross, but for fun. I fill up the car with passanges and give rides (still post some good times too)
I also sometimes co-drive a friends E36 M3 in some BMW CCA and SCCA events.

schosports, nice e46 wagon.
i auto-x twice a month here in Houston. Been doing that for 4 years now. I also just won my first Houston region SM championship and BMWCCA AA class championship. Going auto-x has made me a more calm driver since nothing I do on the street can be as exhilarating as being on course.
