Yup, that's John's (vjlax18). That car is a beast. Next season it will have an amazing race motor in it, should be fun. He's also a member over here too. His Dad bought an E46 from our dealership.

I used to Auto Cross both my Jettas but didnt have a digital camera back them. I have auto crossed my 323 2 times. I want to do that more, and once its retired as a daily driver (and if i keep it which is still up in the air for me right now). I will probably get back into auto crossing with it, and do some more work to it then.

Bill! I didn't know you posted on this forum.

I don't know if you remember me but this is Jared. The guy who goes to Hopkins and came in a few times with various suspension problems, etc. My car has changed big time and I'll be back in Baltimore (after brief stint in DC) at the end of January. I'll be sure to swing by, say hi.

Meanwhile... this winter junk SUCKS. I can't wait to get to the track when the seasons change. It was such a tease only getting to go twice last time around!

When in the US I went to Willow Springs once, now I'm in Malaysia I went to the Sepang F1 track once and plan on going a lot more.

I did about 18 laps on Willow Springs' Big Track

And I did about 8 laps on the Sepang F1 Race Track. (The actual course they use for the F1 Malaysian Grand Prix)

Casanova.... that last pic is amazing. I couldn't even imagine the goosebumps I'd get driving by that structure in the background.

Nope, I'm in Mass and use VSR1 for all my work, although Don and Mario are good friends and both are most excellent.

Yea just wondering I was at Don's shop about a month ago, he replaced my trans and did a service for me, he has a TON of sweet E30 m3's in his shop, one kind of looked like yours.

I went with a friend of mine as a co-pilot (he's been on the track before) we were all giggling the whole first lap....it's an amazing experience and couldn't truly express ourselves other than to laugh the whole time.

I think I wanna go again sometime this month and take in-car pictures.

You know, I'd react the same way. Hell, I was giddy as a schoolgirl just going into the middle of Pocono Int'l Raceway. And that place is small pototos compared to that!

I've got a membership at Motorsports Ranch and I'm there at least once/month. No more waking up at 5am or getting stuck in track traffic.

Me in my old 350z: http://home.comcast.net/~michael-doan/350z.mpg

PCA is a good outfit. Hard as heck to get in to a Mav region DE, but once you're in, you're in. If you're required to drive w/ an instructor, then ask for Becky Laughlin, Warren Bushy, Carlo Malana, George Abdalla, or Greg Kennedy; tell'em Michael w/ the silver 350z upgraded. You should also try Cimmaron region Mayfast at Hallett. Much easier to get in and Hallett is a nice, established track w/ large trees.

I got in at a group rate w/ 5 other guys. It was one of those, "damn, it's a damn good deal, but it's still alot of bones to roll" type of things. Is it worth it? Like I said, no more waking up at 5am, driving on track in the rain, getting stuck in track traffic, or wasting a whole weekend. I just wake up on a Sat or Sun, feel like I wanna go, do a couple of sessions, and come home.

Michael.
