Bluetooth questions

I could use some help with this. I want Bluetooth for my 04 325 (built in Sept. of 03). My car came with a Bluetooth passkey card with some numbers printed on it just stuck in loose with the manual, etc... From what I've seen here I'll need the right phone. I really want to stay with Verizon. I know I'll have to give up BMW assist and that's OK with me. What I want to know is: Will the sound be decent on the mic and the speakers? Does the system come with voice recognition capability? Are all the bugs worked out on this system at this point? Should I wait until there are more/better phones available? Sorry for all the questions but I would love to do this and would like it to be a clean, effective install. Thanks in advance.

i believe Verizon has one phone with bluetooth so you are limited unless you are willing shell out $400 for a treo 650. I had sprint pcs and they had no bluetooth phone so it was a no brainer for me to switch to Tmobile. If your car came with the passkey, maybe it is already has bluetooth

I remember reading a few weeks back on this forum on how some 2004 models are all set...no need to diy anything but buy a phone with bluetooth and pair it.

p.s. oops, I was wrong, it is the 05 model, here is the link
