Christmas is a great celebration for kids and another reason to have big family dinners.

Nothing more.

Really? Christians in the U.S. should start killing people? Who do you suggest they kill?

Yes, especially since Christmas is a FEDERAL holiday.

There is nothing wrong about saying "Merry Christmas" to everyone. It is an official holiday... you are not trying to convert them to Chirstianity or something. If they get offended, they are narrow minded & perhaps deserve a good bludgeoning

Its just another thing liberals have on their "to-change" list.

It doesn't occur to some people that we don't all have to be atheists. We must be the "closed-minded" ones.

I figure you have 3 more Christmases left at most... by then, we should be able to shut it down for good!

Let's get rid of Thanksgiving too, since we basically committed genocide against a whole race for their land... oh nevermind... they're living on reservations running casinos.

And what about Halloween, it started off with pagan symbolizing until Europe converted to Christianity. Nonetheless, the Celts who started it believed "spirits" of the dead would visit them so they left them treats to avoid harm... Atheists don't believe in spirits now do they?

So you think we should keep holidays founded off genocide and spirits? Gotcha. Why don't you want Christmas again?

Because I want to spoil things for you.

Come on, man. Did you really think I want to abolish Christmas in 3 years? I love Christmas. I just think the idea that there is a "War on Christmas" is ri-donk-ulous.

Alot of people here disagree. That's who my points were directed at. If they want to fight one holiday, they might as well fight them all.

I still say Merry Christmas to everyone... whoever gets offended can just tell me to go have a Happy Hanukkah or Kwanzaa or Atheist Celebration Day. I can't say I will be as butt hurt as them though.

No one wants to abolish Christmas!*

*except rdsesq, but only in theory, since the abolishment of Christmas would violate the 1st amendment.

It does occur that if you or kaput ever say "merry christmas" to me I will just respond with "there were approximately 3,700 abortions in the US today" and watch in glee while your heads explode.

Sorry...cross-threading.

Well, personally, I wouldn't mind it being abolished. The only reason I don't fight for the abolishment of christmas is that it would violate the 1st amd.
